Last week, on the Get It Scrapped blog, we said so long to summer. For the article, I created this page to document our end of summer tradition. After Labor Day, we have one last hurrah at the beach for a week… well sorta. Since we live here, we basically just visit the family in town at the beach house every day. There’s something satisfying knowing we’ll always get a rich, summer experience at beach every year. You can read the article HERE.
One trick for using digital stamps that’s so easy to just erase away the bits that overlap layers. You can do this with the eraser tool (and hold down Shift to get a straight line) or just use the rectangular selection tool to delete the area you want. I usually go over the edge with the Smudge tool for a more natural stamped look.
While I’m always sad to see summer go, I also look forward to fall here on Delmarva… less traffic, cool weather, an ample display of fall foliage and flowers, and of course, Halloween. Fall always puts me in the mood for stories and storytelling. Speaking of storytelling, there’s a lot of fun stuff going on at Get It Scrapped this fall. Check this out:
I’m honored to be teaching in Story Play and am excited about the upcoming related class and book. You can grab them here. This week you can save 22% off a 6 month membership. It works out to be less than $10 a month… and completely worth it if you want to ramp up your design and storytelling skills in a fun, engaging way.
